So yeah, as of today the game crash when I try to continue my campaign (I'm in Old Fort Creek). It also crash when I try to join some servers, as well as trying to do a quickmatch on Old Fort Creek (But I can start one on some other maps.)

This is the error message I get:

OGRE EXCEPTION(7:InternalErrorException): Error decoding image in FreeImageCodec::decode at
..\..\..\..\OgreFreeImageCodec.cpp (line 439)

I run on Windows 7 and use the Steam version of the game.

I'd post the crash reports if any, but I wasn't able to find them.

Posting the game log and the savegame could help to verify if it works for someone else.

%appdata%\Running with rifles\ would be the place, you could put rwr_game.log to pastebin.com/attach it on the forum/send it to pasi.kainiemi@modulaatio.com.

The savegame would be all the files in %appdata%\Running with rifles\savegames\your_savegame_name\

Here's how to access %appdata% http://www.overclock.net/t/471062/guide ... ickly-easy

Hmm, highly unusual. The savegame works fine here.

Your log has
14:58:27: Texture: sand.png: Loading 1 faces(PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1) with hardware generated mipmaps from Image. Internal format is PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1.
14:58:27: Texture: asphalt.png: Loading 1 faces(PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1) with hardware generated mipmaps from Image. Internal format is PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1.
14:58:27: OGRE EXCEPTION(7:InternalErrorException): Error decoding image in FreeImageCodec::decode at ..\..\..\..\OgreMain\src\OgreFreeImageCodec.cpp (line 439)

My log has at the corresponding spot
11:50:34: Texture: sand.png: Loading 1 faces(PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1) with hardware generated mipmaps from Image. Internal format is PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1.
11:50:34: Texture: asphalt.png: Loading 1 faces(PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1) with hardware generated mipmaps from Image. Internal format is PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1.
11:50:34: Texture: road.png: Loading 1 faces(PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1) with hardware generated mipmaps from Image. Internal format is PF_A8R8G8B8,256x256x1.
11:50:34: Texture: terrain5_alpha_grass.png: Loading 1 faces(PF_L8,2048x2048x1) with 5 generated mipmaps from Image. Internal format is PF_A8,2048x2048x1.

Any chance C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RunningWithRifles\media\packages\vanilla\maps\map3\asphalt.png is somehow corrupted? Can you open the file in an image viewer? The content looks a bit odd because of the alpha channel tricks we're using, but I'd expect it to not load at all if it is corrupted.

Reinstalling RWR in Steam should help if there's something wrong with that file. Your savegame is kept safe even if you uninstall RWR in Steam temporarily. I hope this isn't a sign your hard disk would be failing.

Installing it again seems to fix it.
