Post subject:  "Online Terminated"
I'm unable to play any multiplayer servers, first it says "Connected to server" then it freezes for a second or two, afterwards, it gives me the "Online Terminated" error. I've NEVER been able to play online, could it be my internet? (Hughesnet) I've retried over and over to connect to servers, but it only gave me the same thing every time.

1st, what version of RWR are you running?

2nd, when you say you've never been able to play online you mean only RWR right?

3rd, are you in debugmode? You would know if you are.

Version 93.2, and I only mean RWR, and no, I'm not in debugmode.

I've made sure there isn't an antivirus or firewall blocking access to the internet for RWR.

Hi Katia and welcome to the community :)

Hmm I think it's because you drank too much beer :p
Jokes aside, this is a weird issue if you can't indeed connect to any server.
I'd suspect that you might have tried to join older servers which results in an online terminated when you try to connect. If some servers crashed but haven't been cleaned from the server list yet then it might try to connect to a ghost server and also result in online terminated.
As you live in the US, try to connect to "ClassicUS" as this is an official server always running the latest version. If you can't connect then we might investigate further.
The ping timeout response is set to 1000ms, and I doubt you'd have more than that ;)
If so, then you wouldnt be able to play any online game properly anyway.

Okay, next set of questions:

1. You have ensured that the version of the servers are the same?

2. What are you putting for the name and password for your character? If you have something already, just make up something like "asdfajwofasg" and try to connect.

Thanks for the warm welcome.|I drink a responsible amount of booze...Maybe not.|Oh, well, it actually possibly could be my internet, I know on Gmod, and other games, I get up to atleast 900 in my ping.(*Opens mouth and points at it with a fake gagging sound* Some games flip out when I move, it makes me kinda dizzy.) But I will try to connect to that server, test a little bit with different things to find out what possibly could be the problem.

Actually, I haven't ensured that, and the name I keep putting is "asdfghjkl123" and the password is, well, the name.

i have hughesnet as well . and tried playing 0 a.d but i need certain port forwarded to host. any who i couldnt get it to work though i forwarded my router etc . i think its the satellite internet don't like ports.. i donnu maybe not .

But i will tell you i have been using my cell phones internet to tether that internet, or open the phones wifi hotspot to play on my comp with the cell phones internet getting 100ms ping etc, though yes depending on provider may cost you. But yes can play fps, 32 , 48 , 64 player games with reasonably no lag .


any who im interested in buying this game.. trying wait for steam version though. and hope that using my cell phone internet would get it to work fine, but if i need forward ports probably wont cause i cant port forward cell phone internet :./ .. so the game 0 a.d i can still play just cant host if helps any. you should i would imagine still be able connect to games, just not host..

I'll admit, I did have some trouble connecting to an MP server the first time I played. I'd suggest reinstalling (as well as deleting your character files) and trying to connect to those games with a fresh start. Don't put anything in the password box, and the port for the InvasionUS is 1235 (although 1235 is usually already in that box). Try that, see if it works.
