So, I've only tried map 2 since .90 and that works fine to my knowledge but whenever I try to play the newest Wake Island map, my game freezes when loading, causing me to manually go to the Desktop and close it.
I get this when i go to Desktop:
"An exception has occured!

OGRE EXCEPTION(2:InvalidParametersException): Error: Invalid
heightmap size : 1025. Should be 513 in HeightmapTerrainPageSource::loadHeightmap at ..\..\..\..\..\Plugins\OctreeSceneManager\src\OgreHeightmapTerrainPageSource.cpp (line 105)"

did you somehow modify the terrain.cfg file in your \media\packages\vanilla\maps\map8 folder?
It should look like this:

Code:
PageSource=Heightmap
Heightmap.image=terrain5_heightmap.png
PageSize=1025
TileSize=33
MaxPixelError=4
PageWorldX=1024
PageWorldZ=1024
MaxHeight=25
MaxMipMapLevel=5
VertexNormals=yes
VertexColors=No
CustomMaterialName=Terrain

There had been two of these issues by now -- both were solved by doing a complete reinstall of the game. I don't exactly know why it helps, but it sounds like there's terrain.cfg floating around somewhere that gets loaded instead of the one in Wake Island. Reinstalling apparently fixes it (you may need to make sure to remove all files in your RWR installation directory for this, not sure if the uninstaller actually clears everything that may have been left around from old versions -- don't know if others had to go that far).

This worked.
Thank you, and on the other hand, this game is looking to be mighty fine in terms of everything.
