Hi guys, I've been lurking for a while, but google search (site: rwr forums), and the forum search aren't helping me.

I'm getting OGRE EXCEPTION 2. The named parameters one. I can't find anyone else who got this. I can see plenty of the number 3, 6, and 7, but no 2.

Is there a solution?

OGRE EXCEPTION(2:InvalidParametersException): Named constants have not been initialised, perhaps a compile error. in GpuProgramParameters::_findNamedConstantDefinition at ..\..\..\..\OgreMain\src\OgreGpuProgramParams.cpp (line 1423)

Sounds like it could be a shader issue. Can you post your rwr_game.log? It's at C:\ProgramData\Running with rifles\.

Welp. That's the entire log.

You mentioned shader issues? Do I need to have pixel shader? Because this current machine has an integrated card without any pixel/vertex shader.

You gpu (Intel 945) supports only shader model 2.0. Most shaders in RWR use SM 2.x.
But even IF it would support it, I am not sure you'd be able to run the game with a decent framerate anyway :(

Basically, RWR should be at least runnable without shaders, but truth to be told, this isn't frequently tested.

Your GPU supports certain pixel shaders but not vertex shaders, I think Rendered used to have a similar GPU a while back and while RWR was working back then it was indeed working just barely, visuals being rather wrong and poor framerate.

As it seems to fail especially at the postprocessing shader, you could try running RWR with "safemode" command line parameter to forcibly disable it.

Another option is to try running it with "opengl" parameter.
