Post subject:  Rank not saving?
Hi Guys

Just bought the game and absolutely loving it. I was really looking forward to playing single player and slowly improving my rank.

Unfortunately I seem to be getting different saves for different maps. Random ranks and random weapons as well.

Is this meant to happen or am I meant to be a private for all of them?
Is there a way to reset it all?

Hi Kirklestat and welcome! :)

you can choose with which rank you start the game (I'd suggest you to start with rank 0) and slowly make your way to higher ranks. If you earned 1000XP you will be rank1, 2000 rank 2, etc. If you point the crosshair on your soldier you will see how many XP you need till next rank. If you start with rank 0 you will have a weapon restriction, with slightly higher rank you'll then be able to use the other weapons.

You might want to play on the Invasion_US server (in online mode), it's a new mode with persistant stats and pure coop. It's still in heavy development but it's pretty good to start with. The XP there is slower but it's pretty fun. If you rejoin it with your nick next time it will just continue with your rank and score.

Currently we are at a state where persistent ranks, weapons and items are supported on certain servers, mostly Invasion_US which is a cooperative only server, XP progression is much slower than single player, weapons have rank restrictions, and maps rotate when Greens win. I think {SAS}Beerdrinkers also uses persistent profiles over map changes, though the server is open for playing on any faction and some rank range to start with.

Single player matches are working on single match basis, i.e. single player campaign doesn't exist yet, but it will in the future.

Yes, the {SAS}BeerDrinkers server has persistent stats, so you will always rejoin the server at the same rank and XP score as you left, also with the same gun. Now, time for my first beer :D
