Hm, that's unfortunate. I'd expect upgrading Ogre3D at this point would be a nasty chore to go through, I'm fairly sure the API has changed a lot.

Owww... what a pity :-/

What about the context menu method? Like this:

Yes, I created a shortcut with the opengl thing and the result is exactly the same as I run it normally.

Hi! Rudely bumping up this thread.

Anyway, I have this same problem and none of these guidelines help. My rig is wired with HD 4000 and GT 650m. The Nvidia seems to be invisible.

Steam's opengl -command just stops the game from seeing my HD 4000.

Any forced GPU selections from Nvidia's control panel don't do anything. Logs always show the game running HD 4k even if 650m is being forced.
The right click option from .exe has the same result.

And the RWR config panel never sees 650m as an option.

Please help! Feels kinda silly running this game on low settings and it still runs rather choppy.

Thanks for the info. We still don't own one of these Optimus laptops so trying if the methods work Nvidia claims to work is pretty difficult for us, so thanks for trying out some of them. Another method they have that should make the hiperf GPU active is by linking NVAPI with the game, I'll add that to the next update, hopefully out in around a week.

Thanks for the fast reply!

The game is awesome while my HD 4000 is not...

I did some googleing around and it seems that other games using Ogre have had problems with the Nvidia Optimus too.

I'll report in after the next patch!

Did you run the config, no change there either?

We had one test laptop where 0.99.1 started to show the hiperf GPU in the config.

I think it was said somewhere that you need Nvidia driver 320 or newer for the linking thing to activate the hiperf GPU, but I guess 320 is already almost a few years old?

No change in config.

I'm currently running 347.09 drivers. (latest)

Asus UX32VD, latest nvidia drivers. (Win 7 64x)
Config still not displaying my nvidia card.
I can help with testing if you wish to try something(maybe even providing remote access to my machine)

Hm, that's a bummer.

I suppose the next thing for me to try would be to follow this which I just found
http://onemanmmo.com/index.php?cmd=news ... ws.1.211.2

Seems this guy also stumbled on the same issue that just linking NVAPI won't again work starting from some specific drivers, in his case 334.75. Tampering a little bit with the application profiles seems to do the trick though, but only after the first run it seems..

There also appears to be a tool called NVIDIA Inspector which can be used to do something similar, I guess, see these:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/10/discus ... 929049360/
http://www.dragonspropheteurope.com/for ... erformace/

Anyone with Optimus willing to try those methods in the links? They start to be a bit dated (2013) so not sure about how relevant they are anymore.

Okay, I tried the tricks with Inspector, but both config.exe and game.exe had shim_rendering_mode enabled already. That export/import thingy didn't do much either.
