So, just bought the game today based on a youtube video. It seemed quite unique and new. Hopped on over to steam, purchased, and downloaded it.

Go to open the file, initial loading screen gets to 15%, my entire computer freezes, and the audio soundbit plays the same continuous note in the music from when it froze. So, force shut-down on the laptop, reboot, and try again. Happens once again at 15%. This time I go eat dinner and let it sit. 10mins+ or so and it's still at same spot, laptop frozen. Reboot, uninstall and re-install the game. Still same thing. I go on google and found posts about openAL. I installed it, but nothing happens other then saying 'install successful'. Computer still locks up at 15%.


Drivers are all up to date, ect. This is quite literally the only game I've never been able to run.

Greetings new player! From one player to another, I can tell you that every once and a while something like this happens to people. But don't fret, if not immediately they usually get back to you. I few months back I changed over comps to a better one and was having some issue (similar to you) with RWR loading improperly too. And I don't think it took too much to fix, I think mine had to do with getting my original copy from Desura which seems to update slower. Anyway I was going to ask if it was that, Desura copy, or about your drivers... but it sounds like you've got that all covered.

They may need a crash-dump report. But for the life of me I don't remember where to find them and I need to. It appears lately I have been 'crashing out' as I log out of the game and I get a little chime from my desktop.

So it appears I am of no immediate help to you at this point, but I just wanted to say: Don't give up. It's not a common thing. And I'm sure you'll get some help to straighten it out soon. When you are ready check out the online large co-op play and we'll see you on the field!

Hey Jack,

Just wondering, does this log just from the current session you played, and rewrites the next time you log in?

I want to make sure I don't send repeats crash dumps thinking they are from different sessions.
I check the time stamp, so far looks like they are from each session.
