Hey! Beta 0.60 is out there starting right now, and here comes the change log:

beta version 0.60:
- ai: increased attack party size, decreased total defenders
- ai: commander avoids sending border defenders to areas with water now
- server list: server player count was sent to the list from the server incorrectly
- gameplay: fixed explosions on top of roof becoming occluded by the roof killing no nearby enemies
- gameplay: soldiers no longer fly thru air after hitting a wall with high speed while dead
- gameplay: body flying and hitting things modified
- options menu: mouse sensitivity control changed to slider
- options menu: clean up bodies threshold slider added
- weapons: reduced shotgun accuracy, reduced shotgun commonness
- online: client side prediction, helps a lot with input lag (!)
- online menus: bug fix for join/host port persistence
- join online menu: clipboard paste "server:port" -check now functional also when any input field is activated
- modding/weapons: reloading generalized; it's now controllable to set a weapon to reload a mag / single ammunition regardless of weapon class
- weapons: variable kill probability now supported, shotgun kill range reduced
- camera: explosion stutter intensity is now scaled according to distance from the player's soldier
- modding/weapons: slight_range_modifier field added, mostly for snipers
- online: separate keys for faction and all chats; T for faction chat, ENTER for global chat
- shotgun: it's now possible to just quickly shoot over the wall and get back behind the wall in cover to cycle/pump
- squads: own squad soldiers are now indicated by grey markers
- squads: squad forming changed slightly, low-ranking soldiers are now more eager to join a squad rather than go solo
- hud: squad indicator enhancement, current/(max or preferred)
- rank: once a new rank level has been reached, it can't be lost
- new top ranks
- textures: some new windows, new signs provided by JackMayol - THANKS!
- models: basic support for external static 3D meshes; parasol mesh provided by JackMayol - THANKS A LOT!

Oh that's a one great changelog over there. I'll have to test it and leave a few comments, but I'm quite sure already that they'll be positive ;)

Great news! I agree the shotgun had to be toned down slightly. In the AI's hands it was like a laser of instant death, never mind a whole squad of these guys coming at you, plenty of lols to be had but damn they were super deadly. I'm eager to jump in and play when I get home!
