RWR Voxel Editor 0.11 released. Added the download link in the first post.

Change log:
- when saving animation files in the editor, existing control-tags in the file are preserved.

RWR Voxel Editor 0.12 released. Download link added to the first post.

Change log:
- crash fixed with editing voxels with skeleton and then saving without rebinding
- soldier animation parameters have been customizable for a while now, but RWR Voxel Editor 0.11 didn't carry those values over editing, 0.12 does

You should put this on the tools section of the main site! More people will be able to find this there as some people don't bother reading forums.

On a kind of side note: Are there any plans or a possibility of a user friendly map editor some time in the distant future? Any prior considerations for a future user map/community feature? With the numbers and AI behavior it seems ripe for user generated maps to keep up the diversity much farther down the road. Although 50% use made maps tend to be half done.

Just curious.

The devs have always said "Nope." as according to them: "It would simply take too long". If you want to try editing a map, I would recommend trying to convert a map from Vanilla to Vanilla.Winter.

As already stated a few times a map editor will most likely never happen. This would be a HUGE task of a few months of development which we clearly not have :(
A compromise would be that we'd make a video tutorial about how to make a map, at least the first steps by a short inkscape introduction and how to handle the layers, the object properties, etc. This tutorial would lead to a map template. Once we are done with map6 (~0.88) I promise that I will try to take a look at it

Hmm... What kind of map is this mysterious "map6" of which you speak? ;)
