Here's the 0.99.6 change log:

- gameplay: fixed item drop count bug
- gameplay: raised the XP requirements for 1 to 5-star general
- gameplay: optimized hit detection performance for deployment space check
- sandbags: fixed wrong healthpoints value, was 20 HP now back to 165 HP.
- general: increased number of groupies for extraction helicopter
- general: added failsafes for the bug where campaign/quickmatch info was lost from the savegame, causing extraction points not appearing campaign
- maps: general fixes here and there
- menu: Let's play option added for campaign difficulties, gives some initial XP and RP to get abilities into use straight up
- menu: moved remove bodies threshold option to visual quality options
- menu: campaign end view added
- HUD: offset capture meter time text
- mapview: fixed mapview not showing defense marker in single capture mode
- stats: added some new tracked stats, distance moved, shots fired, etc
- Mac: fixed game->script comms bug, fixes "no extraction points" issues
- Windows: fixed a few cases of PHP left running after a crash or assertion failure

We should get our Stars back.
We earned them fairly within long standing requirements.
This new standard for long existing High Ranks should not be retroactive.
We already earned them fairly, and the Rank reduction was not across the board to all players
regarding their current ranks. It only removed ranks for your longterm and dedicated players.
And this is much different than a complete Server Rank reset, which judging by the old threads, isn't going to happen. It's obvious when newer players reach the higher ranks it will take them much longer to get those stars but the truth is they already have so far to go and not much prior playing time or experience that it makes little difference. But those of us that have put in ample time and effort seem to have been a bit cheated.
Honestly it does a feel a little insulting that only a small bracket of players have had their ranks reduced to accommodate NEW rank requirements. Especially considering some of us have had them for some time, and many others below and a few at the maxed out ranks have had no noticeable changes made to their currently standing Rank.

Also considering how much dialogue took place regarding a possible entire server reset, and then this happens with little warning and only effects a few of us seems quite unexpected.

Rank reduce is good. Not everybody needs to be high general. I'm not worreied i got reduced from 5* to 4*, still have everything. And im sure you still have all your enhancements.

I was talking with DIO (5*) and we tought that it would be great that highest ranked payer on the server could choose objective...

3 to 1 for me. still lame with no warning.
and no, the objective control is a bad idea. then it just gives power to a small group of players.
and it wouldn't work once everyone is ranked.

how can you be mad about such a minor thing Opt_0?
Nothing has changed for you apart from a different rank icon, that's all. Your equip and XP/RP hasn't changed. It's purely cosmetics...

How? Highest ranked player could change objective because commander gives "sometimes" stupid objectives. And i mean highest ranked player on the server. It can be anyone.
OK, maybe some limit like +50k.
