Hey guys, I am new to this game. I just downloaded the demo beta and within 2 minutes I realized that I MUST buy this game! Its awesome! Great work on the game... Anyways, Im just wondering.... unless Im blind, are there no health bars yet? And how does the health system work? Does it regenerate or you get health kits? Looking forward to release! Hope to see some of you in-game soon! Cheers! EDIT: Id aslso like to know... do crates randomly appear on the map? |

Crates are in pre-determined places around the map, and they regenerate overtime. And the 'health' system works on a random-death basis. You could go 50 bullets and not die, or die on 1 bullet. Different weapons have different percentages for a deadly bullet. |

To expand on the health question: Each soldier has 1 health point. Each bullet that hits the soldier has a 50% (adjustable via mods) chance of doing 1 point of damage. If the bullet rolls damage, it will do 1 damage which results in death. Essentially, any bullet that hits the soldier can instantly kill the soldier but it can also do absolutely nothing to the soldier. This causes some soldiers to take ridiculous amounts of bullets before dying and it also causes soldiers to die on the first hit. A health bar is not going to be a feature and the game will most likely continue using this method. Health kits are also not in the feature list. Welcome to the forums and join up in the IRC! ComJak Some guns have a higher probability of killing, too (EDIT: I think? It's been a while since I checked). Range is a factor too, since as the bullet travels the ability for it to kill sort of decays, and each gun has a different decay rate. This means stay bullets from across the map are less likely to kill you than a shotgun blast to the back of your face. |
