hello i tried the demo and it seemed really cool but do people play online? are there alot of people online at all times? its kind of a deal breaker for me since i dont wanna spent 11euro and then only play against bots

I doubt you'd spend 11€ as the game costs only 9.99€ actually ;)
Since the Steam release we always had at least a few people playing online. Invasion (coop) is the most played mode online. PvP once in a while. Right now there are 27 people playing online. On a single server you usually have 10-30 people playing with a all-time peak at 52.
The game is still Early Access so the attendance will raise over time.

Buy it. The dev himself personally joins games online (although because he's a cheeky bastard, you won't notice until he tells you), that's how good the community is.
