Post subject:  next MP session idea

What about an official invasion session? Everyone would start at 0XP and the XP gain would be higher so that an avg player could have a higher rank than 1-2 after 2 hours of game ;)
Also the difficulty would be higher (the player compensation would be higher, like on invaHARDCORE).
What do you think?

I personally think this would be a great idea, and I think I might be able to attend now that i have better internet, depending on the day it's on, due to school and all that stuff.

Sweet. Actually. This would be a nice time to retry the "devs vs community" thing since you can now have 100 vs 5.

The event would probably take place on a sunday, as usual as we don't really have complains that the time and day is not good.
I'd say that we play a invasion round as we never did it so far. The difficulty will be (very) hard, so don't expect to rush through the map ;)

The next event after this could be a "devs+friends vs. community", this was fun even though it ended up having players mixed up in both teams last time.

So when you say "very hard" do you mean a player only team vs a bots only team? Depending a bit on how many people we are ofcourse, I think that could be fun to try.

It will go a bit into that direction, yes but it would need loads of players to be able to compete against the AI in terms of capping power. invaHARDCORE for example has a player compensation of 10, which means every player who joins raises the population of the enemy team to +10 (on "normal" invasion it is set to 4). Soon the system will be overhauled a bit to have better balancing as just increasing the enemy bots isn't the ultimate solution.
We thought that it would increase the amount AI of the enemies but also decreasing the own team's AI amount depending on your rank as high rank dudes use to make the game much easier with their high amount of squad AI.

Example of a player joining an invasion server at rank 8:
for now on a normal inva server --> the enemy team's population increases 4, your own increases 1 (you)
in the near future --> the enemy's population increases 4, your own decreases 8*X-1 with X a number not definied yet, but X=0.5 sounds about right.
