I think I may be in the minority here, but I really love Rattlesnake Crescent and Black Gold Estuary. Since in Rattlesnake the attacker always inevitably wins, I find it fun to be the defender and hold them back as long as possible. The heavy terrain and chokepoints are fun for fighting over. As for Estuary, I just love the heavy vehicular combat and varying terrains it offers, from mountains to urban and roads in between. I love leading a tank column into battle there, and has plenty to offer for foot combat, too. |

Too bad only 10 options are available as else I would add Frozen Canyon and Copehill Down. Btw I just replaced "Placeholder map" with the "Railroad Gap" map in case you want to change your votes. |

I didn't vote simply because I like them all except one -- map1, a.k.a Moorland Trenches. That one is just horrible. The concept is very good but in practice it can cause a lot of frustration and lost time. AI will never give orders to fully destroy one faction until both factions have only 1 province left. And this is a big problem because it means that a player will have to occupy certain provinces by oneself, which is easier said than done. |

I think the later maps for RwR seems to be better than the earlier ones. Back in 0.65 or something the map1 (Moorland Trenches) was just great for trench fights, but the addition of vehicles, coupled with the invasion mode which allows only 1 captured base initially, meant that it feels like you against the world. Some of the other maps are also notorious since before the game was fully released: Keepsake Bay suffers a bad stalement if you start from the East (West seems to be alot easier), Old Fort Creek seems too difficult coming from the North, and if you come from the South the Great Bridge would be problematic. Anyways, are there any old players (less the devs of course) who know about the grenade crates used to be in map1? Those were fun times XD |

I really like the Battlefield 1942 flashbacks I get from Vigil Island, and the Omaha Beach or Stalingrad feel you get from being the defender on Rattlesnake Crescent. |

Hmm u dont defend on rattle snake. Its assault map. U maybe mix it with something else. |
