hehe pure PvP is indeed totally different :)
A bit chaotic on non linear maps but on linear maps (map4, frostbite) it works pretty well.

I learned a lot of very important things today.

1. I am not good at PvP.
2. Having your comms truck destroyed is devastating in PvP.
3. I tend to tunnel-vision a whole lot.
4. Running people over with vehicles is not a good strategy against real humans.
5. Knifing the tank gunner seems to kill the driver, too. I learned that the hard way.
6. Despite vehicles driven by me being deathtraps, I still had plenty of willing passengers.
7. Someone from the other team can get in the driver's seat of the tank when I'm still in the turret.
8. Trying to aim a tank turret and accidentally shooting was really inconvenient.

That last little session in Aeolian Coast was... interesting. It was less "Running with Rifles" and more "wait outside the enemy base until everyone leaves, then sneak in and take it". And also a little bit of "ride the jeep from base to base so fast the enemy can't even respond".

It's a shame I wasn't on that party bus; I was dueling pasik at the time (and I lost).

that's the way to go :)
You still have the objective marker on the edge of the screen.

I figured :D
You have to keep in mind that human have usually a way higher sightrange than the bots. So moving the mouse to the far edge of the screen in the direction where you think an enemy could come from. It's often the case that the who spots the enemy first will win the firefight.

why? I killed at least 15 people with driving them over, I love it :D

and the gunner was me in the APC hehe. You drove so close to the enemy, try to keep your distance.

I will think again next time :D

There's nothing wrong about it, as I said, keep your distance :)

I usually do, but I often try to approach bases from weird angles so I don't always look in the right places.

Probably because I hit a lot of obstacles when I'm driving and leave myself open a lot :?

Ehh, bots aren't so clever about killing people in vehicles, so I'm used to getting up in their face.
(Plus, I was planning on leaving you to die so I was plotting my escape route  I actually angled the tank so pasik couldn't knife my seat, not knowing I'd die anyways)

I think this was the most fun I ever had in RWR so far.
Excellent games tonight, soldiers! No matter if they were a bit chaotic. ;)

Heh, count me in. I was having hard time to get into a mood for PvP, I'm usually like that, but I seemed to get there when map4 got started. There I didn't have to constantly look at map or screen edges to know where I'm supposed to go to either defend or attack. No news there of course, this has been a known thing since we first tried PvP, linear maps would seem the way to go.

Haha yea, this happened in map3 too a few times. We drove thru the lines with 2 vehicles to East bridge base to capture it, just 2 guys really. Once the player count drops and no one defends, it gets a bit awkward. King of the hill or round-based no-respawn matches in one small base might fit better for < 20-player games, or not. Seems like a lot had fun so it could be just my head that needs fixing, or beer, not the game
