This mod reskins the crosshairs to hopefully be more easier to look at. This is a very simple modification, I've been using this for awhile now tweaking it here and there. It makes shooting much more easier, from shooting around corners and shooting on top of hills, you can easily see if your shot will hit or miss.

I may improve, or release different crosshair styles if this is something people would like to see more of.

Features:
  • 3 different crosshair styles.
  • In the color of: Red, Blue, Gray, Yellow. Gray + Yellow look best imo.
  • Bullet tracers changed to Yellow.
  • Good/Bad hit Crosshairs have been changed to be more visible. Easier than looking at a tiny dot.

Installation:
  1. Extract "media" folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RunningWithRifles
  2. Say yes to overwrite, if you don't get popup dialog asking to overwrite then you copied the folder to the wrong directory.
  3. To uninstall, verify the game files by going into the game's properties in your steam library.

Changelog:
Spoiler:
- ver0.1 initial release | Oct 21st
- ver0.2 modified existing Crosshair and added a 2nd Crosshair | Oct 31st
- ver0.3 added new dotted Crosshair | Nov 10th

Nice to see other types of mods out there. Definitely going to be giving this a shot.

On that note, I'd definitely like to see more UI mods out there.
Spoiler:
Maybe I'll even make try my hand at it myself.

Jebus chris this is exactly what I've been wanting. Even thought about making one myself, but barely got past the "mod weapons and items" phase and haven't gotten around the textures yet.

It's 5:20 in the morning and I should be sleeping since 1 am, browsing the forums from my cell so I will be testing it in a few hours (a possible hint: Grey out the impossible shot green crosshair if you can, unless the dynamic ch is the same for both imposs and poss shots), the red works quite well. I can already see this will become my first essential mod.

Excellent work, mate, I am not sure If the yellow will work out in all maps, but clearly better than light black. Red could work too, maybe better, but could be too colorful or distracting. I will have a go at it later on.

Question: can one mod the size of the point of impact crosshair?

EDIT: Yep, it works wonders, mate. Even applied it to my mod overlay instead of vanilla files (unnecessary, but I wanted to test it) and it's quite fine. You saved one noob from eternal damnation.

This look awesome! I tried searching the forums, but I could not find a simple answer to my question. Can you use this mod on the official co-op invasion servers?

TY Dio for answering my question and the helpful link.

Thanks REDRUM for the mod. I'm going to check this out tomorrow.
