This was a mod I was working on for a while. I'm uploading it to make it available to the community; modders AND the RWR developers are free to use any content they want for their own projects.

Basically I was planning to make a mod that took the basic RWR factions and made them a lot more 'realistic.' There are more realistic uniforms for each army, more realistic weapons, and a lot MORE weapons. I had a lot of weapons planned and finished the majority of their assets (icons, model, stats, sounds.) This is what I expect would be most useful to developers (the weapon icons + models.)




With that in mind, I have no expectation as to when, if ever, I continue development. I planned on finishing the weapons and modifying vehicles as well. However I may never get around to it, so I wanted to release this for RWR-devs and modders to use for themselves. There's a ton of nice weapon huds and models that fit in perfectly with the regular game's style, and a bunch of cool Infantry models too. Of course, the 'stats' and also the 'sounds' of the weapons use a dramatically different style than RWR.

The mod is functional. It's just not as complete as I had wanted it to be.

Factions:
Green -> "Western Coalition" - weapons and uniforms built on 2015 US Army.
Grey -> "Northern Front" - weapons and uniforms built on 2015 German Army.
Brown -> "Eastern Federation" - weapons and uniforms built on 2015 Russian Army.

To be honest, I hope the RWR devs do make some use of it, and everyone is welcome to use anything they want in their mod.
I can't find the time to work on it anymore, but I don't want it to go to waste.




New Weapon Icons exist for the following guns:

I really like the unit models you've made, better looking and more detailed than the vanilla ones. The new weapons are also great, but it seems the sound sometimes cuts out momentarily when you fire for a sustained period of time.

I firmly believe this should be pushed in as part of the base game itself.
I've been wanting the M16's to have an ACOG since the very beginning, as well as an M249 and more modern weaponry.

I don't really think the devs are going to add any of this to the base game. Otherwise they would have done it in the first place.

Besides, the devs are moving on to other projects.

yeah the base game is almost done, litterly only 3 or 4 weapons left, and an armor before they start work on the zombie mode, after which there is two "gear" items left. no info on any of them will be given cause well I don't know much info.
