Key Features:
  • Custom campaign, courtesy of Bredf
  • 49 Weapons; faction specifc and rare.
  • 7 vehicles. (I'd add more, but these are the only ones in the Mass Effect universe).
  • 40 Soldier models; standard and with armour.
  • High ranking soldiers will have better armour, weaponry and AI.
  • Each faction can call 4 medics, 8 marines, 5 veterans and 4 minibosses.
  • Lore-friendly to the Mass Effect universe

Other stuff:
  • All sounds extracted from the Mass Effect games, except the ambience.
  • Ambience lasts 3:30 seconds for daytime and 3:15 seconds for nighttime, perfectly in sync with day/night cycles.
    • Different phases, emulating distant battles and mornings and evenings.
    • Ambience created using sounds from Mass Effect, Crysis and S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Pripyat.
  • Soldiers say things relating to their factions; Alliance are humanised, whereas Geth and Cerberus don't have much idle chatter.
  • Some loading screen hints.
  • Worked closely with reference images from troodon80 to create most models.

Known Issues:
  • Crashing on levels.
  • Weapon balancing may be a bit off.
  • Sound balance may be a bit off.
  • Sounds cut out due to the sound channel limit (can't fix).
  • Geth make human death sounds (can't fix).
  • Females make male death sounds (can't fix).

Noice.

In all seriousness though, this is a great mod. Even as a person who hasn't played any of the Mass Effect games, I find this very enjoyable and well-made. Good stuff.

Yeah, I was actually afraid of that as well.
How far are you into your mod? You may as well release it alongside mine, and give people another option. After all, your mod might have different features from mine.

P.S. - Sorry ;(

My mod is a bit different from yours. It still has Cerberus and the Systems Alliance, except that the SA will also have Turians, Asari, etc fighting alongside them which had me change the name of the good guys to the Citadel Coalition. Also instead of Geth I have reapers. I'll probably release the first version of my mod once I'm comfortable with the weapon and model variety, not to mention inventory icons and names.

That's pretty cool. You can use my assets if you want. The models were made by me, but the sounds and icons were ripped directly from the game archives.

To extract other weapon icons you want, I'd recommend ME3Explorer. Just go to the .pcc files with "weaponimages" in the name. All weapon icons should be there.

To extract sounds, I used ME3 Audio Extraction. Simple to use, but tedious. The output names of the sounds are vague, so you'll have to listen to each sound to identify them.

I also used Psychonauts Explorer, to extract ME1 sounds. Just go to the "ISACT" folder in Mass Effect.

Hope that helps! ;D

Yeah I use a similar tool to extract sounds directly from the game. The only thing thats really preventing me from releasing my mod is my own laziness :P
