Hey all,

This is a WIP and I would not mind getting some ideas from those interested in playing this mod.

I have to give credit to simmond4 at the moment I am using his weapon icons, stats and hud elements from the "running with stormtroopers" mod that can be found here.

To-do List:
- More weapons
- Imperial Faction
- Rebel Faction
- More HUD Customization
- Star Wars ground vehicles and props (still figuring this out)
- Add Droid Vest Model
- Fix the orientation, scale and visibility of the laser bolts
- Add blue laser bolts for the Republic
- Remove tracers
- Even out the volume on the laser fire

Change Log:



Version 0.99.7.1

- Added new health system
- Adjusted weapon damages to accommodate the new health system
- Created Elite weapons for the Minibosses
- Increased the spawn rate of Minibosses
- Increased the health of Minibosses 3x more than a regular bot
- removed the laser bolt model because as of this version of the game I cannot fix the orientation to make them fly straight (hopefully we will get that functionality on a future update)
- Added a red tracer to simulate the laser fire
- Added a health bar to the HUD
- Removed some of the vanilla secondary weapons from the armory

Version 0.99.6.3

- Added New Weapon
    DLT-19 (Think laser SAW)

- Replaced the backpack model
- Tweaked the look of the laser bolt
- No progress on the orientation of the laser bot yet
- Revamped the weapon stats to balance and more accurately portray they weapons they are

Version 0.99.6.2

- Added new Weapons
    A280 (Sniper Rifle) - need to tweak stats yet
    CR-2 (Sub-machine gun style blaster)
    DL-18 (Pistol)

- changed the color of the dynamic crosshairs
- changed the look of the good reticule
- changed the look of the poor reticule
- changed the retrigger times on some of the weapons
- changed the tank sounds and projectile to a laser bolt


Version 0.99.6.1

- Added Elite Droid Model - Commando Droid
- Tweaked weapons for better usability
- Created a laser bolt model for weapons to shoot
- Added Variance in the Battle droids
- Removed Green, Grey and Brown factions
- Added a new Ground drop shadow

Current weapons in game:
DC-15A (Rifle)
E-11 (Carbine)
DH-17 (Pistol)

It's a pretty good mod. It's fun and such but the only thing that I dislike is the lasers. They don't fly straight and instead fly sideways. Also I would recommend for Republic blasters to shoot blue lasers.

Thanks for the feedback marsing.

I have been working on making the projectiles orient correctly. I will put making the blue laser bolts for the republic guns. I want to add all the weapons first then I can implement the different color lasers. I have added your suggestions to the ToDo list.

i really like your mod, but you should also tweak the sounds (some blasters are way louder than others) and make the laser bolts a bit bigger, because its quite hard to see them in battle (and while you are at it, the white tracer behind the bolts does look weird so if thats possible you should get rid of that too) . i was really hoping someone would finally do a good star wars mod for this, so thank you for your effort. with vehicles, this mod will be the best :D

Thanks for the feedback Quarky.

The sounds are cuts from the movies that are available on the net. I will attempt to even the volume levels out. I agree with the tracers they will be removed after I fix the scale, visibility and rotation issues of the laser bolts.

I am adding your suggestions to the to-do list.

Are you aware of how to make specific bullet trail colors for different factions/guns. I'm working on a halo mod and this is mainly required for all of the covie weapons I made.

Test,

Right now the bullet trail as far as I know is hard coded on which file to use for every weapon we just have the choice to turn it off or on in the projectile files. Or you can replace the bullet trail texture to change the vanilla one.

I tried to get around this by making bullets fire actual models which you can color differently but the problem is that bullet class projectiles don't handle the orientation of the models attached to them very well in the current version.

Some of the weapon audio for my own SW mod (for a completely different game). These are extractions from the films and various games, and are as accurate to the source material as I can get them. Also of better quality - no background noise or abrupt cutoffs. All in all, I've got around 16,000 Star Wars related sound files, so I can provide pretty much anything else if needed.

Hi, I just saw you updated the mod with droids and such! I love it but do kinda miss the stormtroopers and rebels. I FOUND A BUG, whenever I switch to my secondary weapon (for me the key i press is B) the game crashes. I'm playing as the droids.

This mod has been abandoned for a while man. Not only that, this mod isn't updated as of the most recent versions at all.
