Credits:
Luck of Duck for getting this one started up! :D
<blank> for The Time After texture pack! (you know who you are, I'm attempting to find you again)
DoomMetal, for the beautiful color map for Old Fort Creek! (to be added later on)

A quick overview of the mod:
The zombies are tough, fast, and pack a punch. They may lack ranged weapons, but they make up for it in sheer numbers. As a survivor, your weapons arsenal consists of common weapons found in the households of many people across the world. SWAT and police forces randomly spawn in with M16A4s', M240Bs, Benelli M4s, or M24-A2s, and hand grenades. You may only respawn with civilian pistols and bolt-action rifles. Other weapons must be scavenged, purchased, or otherwise stripped from the hands of one of your fallen comrades.

Zombies come in three distinct flavors - your averages Walkers, Sprinters, and Tanks. Walkers, contrary to the name, do not walk, but run rather quickly. They're fast and are tough to take down, and usually take 3 to 4 shots to down. Sprinters are extremely fast, going twice the rate that any survivor could ever imagine reaching, but they're weaker than their Walker comrades. Tanks, on the other hand, are slow, but are completely immune to small-arms fire. Only explosives and melee can take down these fell beasts, but watch your own back in the meantime. All zombies can summon hordes of zombies - which means you as a player, if you're a zombie, can call upon the depths of hell to push up zombies underneath the very feet of your enemies. It is pricey, however - make each one count!

Texture Pack Download: (not nessesary)
(will have to overwrite vanilla textures - this only adds some UI changes to make it a bit more immersive, nothing more. Human models for zombies and survivors are included in the base DL above)

Reccomended Settings:
King-of-the-Hill style map
Survivors at 25% capacity, Zombies at 100% capacity
Bases to capture - have at least two sectors at the start of the game
(you can edit the capacity of factions after starting a new quick match - the screen that comes up right after loading)

This mod includes 2 new factions, the Zombies and the Survivors. Both factions are currently completely functional, and can be played in multiplayer (considering both the server is running the mod and the player has the mod in the overlays folder).

Weapons Arsenal:
Nail Bomb
Hand Grenade (police only)Colt M1911
.38 Snub Nose Revolver
Beretta M9
Double-Barreled Shotgun
Benelli M4 (police only)
AR-15
M16A4 (police only)
Mosin-Nagant
M240B (police only)
Savage 110
M24-A2 (police only)

I'm curious, can you upload some screen shots here? Thanks.
With the right kind of mod this could be a really fun Zed game too.

@Opt_0
You probably already know this mod, it's the mod that I've been posting on Luck of Duck's thread for the past few months. Just decided that it had grown up enough to have it's own thread now. :)

Screenshots nonetheless will come.

Mind adding that short description now? I'd like to know what I'm getting before I download.

Hm, I seem to have been neglecting Running with Rifles as a whole recently.

And updated for 0.99.1. Nothing new, just compatibility.

Hi there,

First of all, thanks for the mod.

Everything is nice about this mod, the textures of the zombies/survivers are really nice! :D
It's also multiplayer compitable.

Only one thing is, when you are a ''Horde leader'' you can use the radio to spawn zombies in the area...
That's a bit overpowerd, because the ''survivers'' don't have any chance since then...
Little scenario; Get in a safe distance as a ''Horde leader'' and just spam that option to spawn more zombies.. Done. Base is taken over.

Ps. (Works with latest version)

Yea, I haven't been balancing the zombies too often. Mainly because when you pick up a weapon, the game crashes and I have no idea how to fix it.

But yea, I'll try to rebalance it...somehow. I have no idea how else to make the Horde Leader any more fun to play as, since the mod is mainly meant to be played as the Survivors.
